The power for each device must be turned on separately. The flat panel is powered on by pressing the POWER button on the Samsung remote control. The computer, DVD/VCR combo unit and Blu-Ray player are all powered on using the appropriate buttons on those devices.
The volume is adjusted using the volume + and - buttons on the Samsung remote control.
Once the equipment is powered up, insert the videotape or disc into the DVD/VCR combo unit. The combo unit is controlled using the buttons on the unit or the corresponding remote control provided. To display the DVD/VCR image on the flat panel, press the SOURCE button on the Samsung remote control until HDMI1 is selected.
Once the equipment is powered up, insert the disc into the Blu-Ray player. The Blu-Ray player is controlled using the buttons on the unit or the corresponding remote control provided. To display the Blu-Ray image on the flat panel, press the SOURCE button on the Samsung remote control until HDMI2 is selected.
This computer must be started and shut down manually.
Once the computer has been powered up, press the SOURCE button on the Samsung remote control until PC is selected. NOTE: Look above the DVD/VCR in the rack, there is a grey Extron box. Press the (#1) COMPUTER button. Your image should now display on the flat panel.
The cables needed for connecting a laptop computer are found on the instructor’s lectern. Plug the VGA cable into your laptop's VGA port and tighten the thumbscrews to ensure a good connection. If you need to play computer-audio, you will need to plug the audio cable into your laptop's headphone jack. Be sure the laptop's volume is not too low or muted..
For best results:
1. Power-up the equipment as described above.
2. Connect the required cables to your laptop as described above.
3. Plug in your laptop's AC power adaptor.
4. Select PC mode on the flat panel by using the Samsung remote control.
5. Turn on your laptop's power.
NOTE: Look above the DVD/VCR in the rack, there is a grey Extron box. Press the (#2) LAPTOP button. Your image should now display on the flat panel.
The flat panel is powered off by pressing the POWER button on the Samsung remote control. To turn off the equipment, simply press the same power buttons that you used to power up the equipment.
