Below is a rundown of upgrades made to Instructional Technology Classrooms on campus for the Fall 2008 semester.


New Lutron lighting system installed. Lighting is controlled from either the wall plates or the Crestron Color Touch Panel. Three wall plates are located in the room, one at each door location and one behind the lectern. The door location panels provide basic ON/OFF functionality, while the lectern location panel provides five presets: OFF, FULL, MEDIUM, LOW, and PODIUM.


Upgraded from a Level 2 to a Level 3 classroom, Amherst E features a ceiling-mounted LCD projector, Extron Hard Button Panel, resident PC computer, laptop connectivity, DVD/VCR combo unit and ELMO TT-02 document camera.


This room now features a 36" Television Monitor and DVD/VCR combo unit in a wooden oak cabinet.

Installed an Extron switcher used for the selection of sources (resident PC computer, document camera, laptop and DVD/VCR) available in this room.


Room was reprogrammed to take advantage of the widescreen functionality of the ceiling-mounted DLP projector. The room now supports widescreen display of the resident Mac computer (resolution: 1280 x 768), laptop computer and DVD sources. As not all laptops and DVDs are widescreen, the Touch Panel Pages for these sources have a "Wide Screen Display" button, which allows for toggling between standard (4:3) and widescreen (16:9) aspect ratios.


This atypical Level 4 classroom has been upgraded to include a DVD player and laptop connectivity, both of which were features this room had lacked in the past.

This conference room was upgraded to include a flat panel television, DVD/VCR combo unit, Blu-Ray player and resident Mac computer.

Upgraded from a Level 1 to a Level 3 classroom, OM 110 now features a ceiling-mounted DLP projector, Crestron Color Touch Panel, resident PC computer, laptop connectivity, DVD/VCR combo unit, ELMO P-10 document camera and auxiliary video/audio inputs. The projector installed in this room allows for widescreen display of the resident PC computer (resolution: 1280 x 720), laptop computer and DVD sources. As not all laptops and DVDs are widescreen, the Touch Panel Pages for these sources have a "Wide Screen Display" button, which allows for toggling between standard (4:3) and widescreen (16:9) aspect ratios.


Coordinated the installation of two LED displays in the Golden Griffin Fund classroom; a portfolio tracker and a stock ticker. Also coordinated the installation of a 46" LCD panel inside the room and a 40" LCD panel outside in the hallway.

In addition to the lighting system upgrade, a new SONY DVD player was installed in OM 203.

Upgraded from a Level 1 to a Level 3 classroom, OM 110 now features a ceiling-mounted DLP projector, Crestron Color Touch Panel, resident PC computer, laptop connectivity, DVD/VCR combo unit, ELMO P-10 document camera and auxiliary video/audio inputs. In addition, a SMART Board Interactive Whiteboard 600i has been installed in this room. The SMART Board software is loaded on the resident computer.


A new ELMO P-10 document camera and a SMART Board Sympodium were installed. The SMART Board software is loaded on the resident computer.

A SMART Board Interactive Whiteboard 600i was installed. A laptop with the SMART Board Software is needed in order to utilize the interactive whiteboard features of the unit.
