The equipment is controlled using a Crestron Color Touch Panel Interface.
If the touch panel's screen is black, touch the screen to wake the display. When the Canisius Logo Screen appears, tap the screen and enter the required Access Code. (Authorized users can request the Access Code from the Help Desk by calling x2299).
After successfully entering the Access Code, the equipment will power-up and the Crestron will display the message "Please Wait...LCD Projector Warming-up." Once the projector is ready, the Crestron will display the Main Menu, further identifying the function of the hard-buttons.

This room is equipped with dual LCD projectors. The SMART Board's projector is the main display; it powers on when the room is started.
The ceiling-mounted LCD projector is the secondary display. This projector is powered on/off by pressing the PROJECTOR button on the Crestron and then using the appropriate touch-screen controls.
After choosing a source button on the Crestron, you must select the display destination (SMART Board or Projector/Screen) before the image will appear. Sources sent to the SMART Board will have accompanying audio played in the room and, in the case of the resident computer and document camera, the image will also appear on the SMART Sympodium at the lectern.
Sources sent to the Projector/Screen will not have accompanying audio. If the ceiling-mounted LCD projector has not been turned on at the PROJECTOR screen, the Projector/Screen button will be inactive until that display is powered on.

Each source page (COMPUTER, LAPTOP, DOCUMENT CAMERA, VCR, DVD, & AUX) has a Projector Standby button located in the lower left corner of the screen. Pressing this button once will place the ceiling-mounted projector in standby or pic-mute mode. While this mode is active, the button will flash. Simply press the button again to take the projector out of standby mode.
NOTE: This feature is used only by the ceiling-mounted LCD projector.

Press the VOLUME button on the Crestron to display the appropriate touch-screen controls. Volume up, down, and mute controls are provided.
To hear audio from the desired source you must first press the appropriate hard button (COMPUTER, LAPTOP, VCR, DVD, or AUX) on the Crestron and then press the button to view the image on the SMART Board.
NOTE: Computers have their own volume controls which may need to be adjusted separately.

Press the POWER button on the resident computer to turn it on (see Picture 3 above).
Once the computer has been powered up, press the COMPUTER button on the Crestron, and select the display destination (SMART Board or Projector/Screen). NOTE: You must select a display destination before an image will be displayed. Audio only plays after the SMART Board button has been pressed.

The resident computer will need to be turned on and the COMPUTER button selected on the Crestron. The SMART Board software will automatically load after you log in to the computer.
The USB cables connecting the SMART Board Interactive Whiteboard and SMART Sympodium are located just behind the Crestron Touch Panel (click here for image). If either unit appears to be unresponsive, disconnect and reconnect the appropriate USB cable; both are labeled.

Touch-buttons are provided which allow you to control the device from the Crestron. You must select the display destination (SMART Board or Projector/Screen) before the image will appear. Audio only plays after the SMART Board button has been pressed. The only time you ever touch the VCR itself is to insert or eject your tape.

Touch-buttons are provided which allow you to control the device from the Crestron. You must select the display destination (SMART Board or Projector/Screen) before the image will appear. The cables needed for connecting a laptop computer are found on the instructor’s lectern. Plug the VGA cable into your laptop's VGA port and tighten the thumbscrews to ensure a good connection. If you require access to the Internet or your campus-network resources, plug the Ethernet cable into your laptop's network jack. If you need to play computer-audio, you will need to plug the audio cable into your laptop's headphone jack. Be sure the laptop's volume is not too low or muted.
Press the LAPTOP button on the Crestron to select the display destination (SMART Board or Projector/Screen). Audio only plays after the SMART Board button has been pressed.
