The power for each device must be turned on separately. The flat panel is powered on by pressing the POWER button on the Toshiba remote control. The power button for the DVD/VCR is located in the lower left corner of the combo unit.


The volume is adjusted using the volume + and - buttons on the Toshiba remote control.


Once the equipment is powered up, insert the videotape or disc into the DVD/VCR combo unit. The combo unit is controlled using the buttons on the unit or the corresponding remote control provided. To display the DVD/VCR image on the flat panel, press the INPUT button on the Toshiba remote control until (1) DVD is highlighted. Pressing the EXIT button will then close the input menu.

NOTE: You can use the PIC SIZE button on the Toshiba remote control to toggle between different aspect ratios, if needed.


The cables needed for connecting a laptop computer are found on the instructor’s lectern. Plug the VGA cable into your laptop's VGA port and tighten the thumbscrews to ensure a good connection. If you need to play computer-audio, you will need to plug the audio cable into your laptop's headphone jack. Be sure the laptop's volume is not too low or muted.

To display the laptop image on the flat panel, press the INPUT button on the Toshiba remote control until (9) PC is highlighted. Pressing the EXIT button will then close the input menu.

For best results:

1. Power-up the equipment as described above.
2. Connect the required cables to your laptop as described above.
3. Plug in your laptop's AC power adaptor.
4. Select (9) PC by pressing the INPUT button on the Toshiba remote control.
5. Turn on your laptop's power.

NOTE: You can use the PIC SIZE button on the Toshiba remote control to toggle between different aspect ratios, if needed.


To turn off the equipment, simply press the same power buttons that you used to power up the equipment.
