The LCD projector in this room is powered up by a Sanyo remote control that is housed in the lectern. Press the ON-OFF button once to turn on the LCD projector.
The adjustment of volume is done using the knob located on the the instructor’s lectern.
The DVD/VCR combo unit must be turned on using the power button on the device. Simply insert your media (tape, disc) into the machine, and use the buttons on the face of the unit for: STOP, PLAY, Fast-Forward (FF), and Rewind (REW). To display the image, press the VIDEO button on the Sanyo remote. A remote control for the DVD/VCR is also housed in the lectern.
The computer must be started and shut down manually.
Once the computer has been powered up, press the COMPUTER button on the Sanyo remote until the LCD projector is in COMPUTER 2 mode. NOTE: The Extron switcher (found on top of the computer) must be set to COMPUTER mode. Press button 1 on the switcher to have the computer image display on the LCD projector.
The cables needed for connecting a laptop computer are found on the instructor’s lectern. Plug the VGA cable into your laptop's VGA port and tighten the thumbscrews to ensure a good connection. If you need to play computer-audio, you will need to plug the audio cable into your laptop's headphone jack. Be sure the laptop's volume is not too low or muted.
Press the COMPUTER button on the Sanyo remote until the LCD projector is in COMPUTER 2 mode. NOTE: The Extron switcher (found on top of the computer) must be set to LAPTOP mode. Press button 2 on the switcher to have the laptop image display on the LCD projector.
For best results:
1. Power-up the equipment as described above.
2. Connect the required cables to your laptop as described above.
3. Plug in your laptop's AC adaptor.
4. Use the Sanyo remote to set the LCD projector to COMPUTER 2 mode.
5. Turn on your laptop's power.
To turn off the equipment, simply press the same power buttons that you used to power up the equipment. To turn off the LCD projector, press the ON-OFF button twice on the Sanyo remote.
