The LCD projector in this room is powered up by a SHARP remote control that is housed in the lectern. Press the ON button to turn on the LCD projector.

The adjustment of volume is done using the knob located on the the instructor’s lectern.

The computer must be started and shut down manually.
Once the computer has been powered up, press either the INPUT up or down arrow button on the SHARP remote to display the INPUT list. Select the COMPUTER 1 mode and press ENTER. NOTE: The Extron switcher (found on top of the computer) must be set to COMPUTER mode. Press button 1 on the switcher to have the computer image display on the LCD projector.

The DVD/VCR combo unit must be turned on using the power button on the device. Simply insert your media (tape, disc) into the machine, and use the buttons on the face of the unit for: STOP, PLAY, Fast-Forward (FF), and Rewind (REW). To display the image, press either the INPUT up or down arrow button on the SHARP remote to display the INPUT list. Select the VIDEO mode and press ENTER. A remote control for the DVD/VCR is also housed in the lectern.

The cables needed for connecting a laptop computer are found on the instructor’s lectern. Plug the VGA cable into your laptop's VGA port and tighten the thumbscrews to ensure a good connection. If you need to play computer-audio, you will need to plug the audio cable into your laptop's headphone jack. Be sure the laptop's volume is not too low or muted.
Press either the INPUT up or down arrow button on the SHARP remote to display the INPUT list. Select the COMPUTER 1 mode and press ENTER. NOTE: The Extron switcher (found on top of the computer) must be set to LAPTOP mode. Press button 2 on the switcher to have the laptop image display on the LCD projector.
For best results:
1. Power-up the equipment as described above.
2. Connect the required cables to your laptop as described above.
3. Plug in your laptop's AC adaptor.
4. Use the SHARP remote to set the LCD projector to COMPUTER 1 mode.
5. Turn on your laptop's power.

To turn off the equipment, simply press the same power buttons that you used to power up the equipment. To turn off the LCD projector, press the STANDBY button twice on the SHARP remote.
