Study Abroad Opportunity for Pre-Med, Law Enforcement & Education majors in San José, Costa Rica


What's Included

  • Six Canisius College course credits:
    • Language for the Profession (3 credits)
    • Internship (3 credits)
  • Canisius College study abroad fee
  • Group pick-up and drop-off at San José Juan Santamaría International Airport
  • On-site orientation
  • Group welcome and farewell dinners
  • Housing with families in San José (shared rooms), including two meals per day, and laundry service once per week
  • Daily transportation allowance to internship sites
  • Excursions to a beach (Tamarindo), and a volcano and hot springs (Arenal)
  • Health insurance

Not Included

  • International Airfare
  • Passport and any applicable visas
  • Exit fee
  • Individual transportation within the host city (taxis, buses)
  • Personal spending money (activities, toiletries, snacks, etc.)

Academic Information

Prerequisites

Successful completion of Spanish 217 or higher with a grade of B or better.
