Canisius Print Shop Offers Wide Format Printing

Margaret Kraatz, coordinator for the print shop, and Paula F. Dehn, PhD, chair of biology, test out the new wide format printer.

Add a splash of color to your next event or classroom presentation. The Canisius College Print Shop has a new wide format printer that can create large color posters and banners, up to 60-inches wide.   In addition, the print shop has a scanner which can scan documents up to 42 inches wide and a wide format laminator.

“We are very pleased to be able to offer these new services to the college community,” says Margaret Kraatz, print shop coordinator. “There is an entire room of the print shop now dedicated solely to this equipment.”

The $50,000 in new equipment is thanks to a grant from NASA obtained by Paula F. Dehn, PhD, chair of biology.

“Science faculty often takes students to national conferences, and it costs $125 to create one poster at an outside vendor,” says Dehn. “It is much more convenient and cost effective to have the equipment right here at Canisius, and the entire campus has access to it as well.”

The print shop’s new wide format laminator can laminate and mount documents up to 42 inches wide.

For more information on the new equipment or format requirements, please contact the print shop at Ext. 2135.
