ANGEL Training
Blackboard will no longer be available at the end of May 2008. CTE and the ITS FacTS Center will offer ANGEL workshops to get you ready for the spring and fall 2008 semesters. A two-day workshop will be offered from January 8-9, 2008 in Old Main 119 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information or to register, go to the CTE Website.
Other classes will be offered throughout the spring semester. Schedules, location and registration will be posted at the CTE Website when they are set. Class size is limited, so get your registration in as soon as possible.
Excel WorkshopsThe ITS FacTS Center will offer the following Excel workshops for all faculty and staff:
Introduction to Excel Monday, December 17 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in WTC-305
This is a basic workshop that focuses on the fundamentals of Excel. You’ll learn about terminology, the “anatomy of a workbook,” how to enter information, navigate, sorting, basic formatting tips and so much more.
Using the InformationWednesday, January 9 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in WTC-305
This workshop will take you to the next level. You’ll learn how to manipulate your information in many useful ways. You’ll learn how to filter data, how to produce subtotals, create easy-to-make data forms, and learn about data validation.
It is strongly recommended that you attend both workshops. Doing so will provide you with a solid foundation upon which to build when other courses are made available. You should also find these workshops useful when you have to do mail merges, labels, and integration with other software programs like Microsoft Word.
For reservations, contact Human Resources at Ext. 2240. Seating is limited and reservations (as well as cancellations) are necessary
