Congratulations to the 2004 Dr. I Joan Lorch Award recipients, who will accept their awards during the annual Women's Studies Luncheon on Friday, March 5 from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. in the Grupp Fireside Lounge. The winners are: Dr. Melissa Wanzer, associate professor of communication studies, faculty award; Dr. Ellen Conley, vice president for academic affairs, administrator award; Kathleen Devine, secretary, dean of students, staff award and Jenel Stevens '04, student award. Public Safety's Newest Peace Officers Sworn In

On February 13, two Canisius College peace officers were sworn by Erie County Clerk David Swarts. Matthew Srodawa '03 and Rebecca Loubert '03 MS are public safety's newest peace officers.
With the addition of Loubert, Canisius College Public Safety has a total of six female officers, the most ever in the college's history.
Estanek Presents at Two Conferences
Dr. Sandra Estanek, assistant professor of graduate education and leadership and director of the master's program in student personnel administration presented at two national conferences in February. On February 2, she presented the results of her study of senior student affairs officers at Catholic colleges and universities in the United States to the association on Catholic Colleges and Universities in Washington, DC.
On February 6, Estanek gave a presentation entitled "Spirituality: A Meta-analysis and Conceptual Taxonomy" to the Institute on College Student Values" to the Institute on College Student Values at Florida State University.
