Current Periodicals Relocating
As the first step in consolidating the library’s user services into a single access point, all current periodicals and newspapers have been moved upstairs to the main floor. The current periodicals are housed on shelves along the wall outside the library’s administrative offices, and the newspapers on shelves along the back wall of the Circulation Department. Circulation policies for these materials remain the same. In the near future, all videos, DVDs, CDs and reserve materials will be moved behind the circulation desk as well. All Periodicals Department administrative functions will continue to be carried out in the department for the time being. If you have any questions or concerns, please call Tom Evans, serials librarian, at Ext. 2932, or Janice Newhard, periodicals technician, at Ext. 2930.
Going on Vacation?
Have you ever wished you could let people know that you won’t be able to respond to their E-mail messages because you’re away for Easter break? Well, you can. Visit the Information Technology Services Web site for Faculty and Staff. Click on the “Click here” link under Vacation Maintenance and follow the instructions. You can edit the default message to anything you want to let your contacts know when to expect a response.
When you return, follow the same procedure, read the instructions carefully and click the “Unset/remove vacation message.”
If you have any problems, call the ITS Help Desk at Ext. 2299 for assistance.
