End of Year Computer Requests
As the end of the budget year approaches, your department may want to make year-end purchases of computer equipment. In order to assist with planning, ITS has polled our vendors and determined that May 3 is last possible date to place an order to ensure delivery in time for posting in this budget year. Otherwise, delivery cannot be assured by the end of May. If you are planning to order desktop or laptop computers, printers, scanners or software, please consult the ITS Web page for Office Computer Orders for additional information and deadlines.
Software Needs
It’s the time of the year when ITS makes plans for summer maintenance and updates to classroom technology. If the courses you will teach in Fall 2006 or Spring 2007 require specialized software, please consult with ITS between now and June 1, 2006. This is especially true of software that needs to be integrated onto the hard drive configuration in the student labs.

ILLiad – Interlibrary Loan
Last Spring the library moved to new software for interlibrary loan. ILLiad has some special user-friendly features that you might want to try out. From your ILLiad account (http://illiad.canisius.edu) you can:
- View and edit your outstanding requests, including detailed request information and statuses.
- View items that you have received for Web delivery.
- View items that you have checked out along with due dates.
- View your completed requests.
- View items that have been cancelled either by you or the InterLibrary Loan staff. You can easily resubmit these items with more complete and/or accurate information.
