Canisius Honors Employee Milestones at Celebration of Service

Rev. Vincent M. Cooke, S.J., college president,
John J. Hurley, executive vice president and vice president for college relations, and more than 200 family members, friends, and Canisius community members were in attendance. The event honored faculty, staff and administrator retirements and those who have reached their 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45-year service anniversaries.
The event began with an invocation by associate campus minister
Susan A. Fischer and a welcome by Hurley, who presented the citations along with
Scott A. Chadwick, PhD, vice president for academic affairs.

Kathleen Keenan-Takagi, adjunct professor of music, performed several musical selections with The Canisius Brass.
This is the eighth year that the college has held the Celebration of Service. Employees who have reached five, 10 and 15 years of service are honored at the Employee Recognition Ceremony held each fall.
