Canisius College Yearbooks, Anyone????
Are you an alum, faculty or staff member with a sentimental streak?  Do you know someone who has lost, misplaced or had a dog eat his Canisius yearbook?  Do you want to give an alum the yearbook she forgot to pick up before graduation?  Do you just want to look at some good photos of really great times?

Then we have the perfect gift for you!

The Canisius College Archives yearbook inventory has reached epidemic proportions! Take advantage of our once-a-year clean sweep. We’re offering loyal Griffins the chance to take home extra yearbooks which date as far back as 1922.

The yearbooks will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. (Don’t worry, the yearbooks in our permanent collection are not part of this special offer). If you want us to mail the yearbook to someone out of town with a special message, we can do that, too, for a small shipping and handling fee of $4.00 U.S.

Contact Kathleen DeLaney in archives and speical collections at Ext. 2916 for a complete list of available years.

There’s a New Angel on Campus!
By now most of you have heard the good news, whether it was through the NetGazette, meetings or word of mouth, that Canisius College is changing its learning management system from Blackboard to the Angel Learning System. The change will happen over the course of the next academic year and both systems will be available until the end of next spring semester.

In anticipation of Angel’s roll out, the FacTS Center and CTE will offer an array of training opportunities over the summer.  Please note these dates and reserve your space via the CTE Web site!

Introduction and Demonstration
Thursday, June 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Regis Room South.
Join us for and informal brunch and a general introduction to Angel’s capabilities.  Feel free to drop in for 15 minutes or an hour, and enjoy some food. Formal Angel demonstrations will be held at 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. with Q & A sessions.  In addition, FacTS Center staff will be available throughout the two hours to answer individual questions and demonstrate specific functions of the system.  If you plan to come, please register on-line through the CTE Web site, but if you forget to register, you are welcome to drop in! (Reminders will be sent).

Angel Boot Camp: July 16-18 in Old Main 301
