The New Information Desk in Library/ Move of Help Desk
Reference service has moved to the main circulation counter in the library. Newspapers, CDs, and videos are also available at this location, although much of this will soon be available in the public access stacks. Library patrons will be able to go to a single service location without concern as to whether it is the “correct” one.  The former Reference Desk area will be adopted for patron use. The Information Technology Services (ITS) Help Desk that was previously located on the lower level of the library is being moved to Wehle 101. A satellite Help Desk operation will be set up in the fall at the new library Information Desk.

The ITS Help Desk operation is in the process of being upgraded to provide better and more consistent service. Calls to the Help Desk at Ext. 2299 will be answered by a full-time technician who should be able to help directly with many types of problems.  In addition, the technician will have ready access to 2nd tier support.
