Annual Fund Celebrates Successful Campaign

John P. Rumschik, chair of the Canisius College Annual Fund Cabinet, presents President Rev. Vincent M. Cooke, S.J., with a check for $2,153,381.87 at the Annual Fund celebration on June 29.
The numbers are in and the 2004-2005 Canisius College Annual Fund Campaign was a great success, surpassing its $2 million goal by more than $150,000. This year, 8,200 alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff, friends and businesses supported the fund, which represents an increase of 1,150 donors from last year.
Gifts to the annual fund play a critical role at Canisius every year. As a line item in the college’s operating budget, every dollar given to the annual fund supports financial aid (92 percent), faculty resources and retention (five percent), and general administrative costs including technology, athletics and facilities (three percent).
The 2005-2006 annual fund is underway with a goal of $2.140 million. The campaign ends May 31, 2006. Congratulations to Amy Johnson, director of the annual fund, and Kirsten Reppert, assistant director of the annual fund
