Jennifer R. Fields, J.D., LLM, is an assistant professor of criminal justice. She previously was an adjunct professor of criminal justice at Canisius. Prior to Canisius, Fields was an adjunct professor of criminal justice at Medaille College. Her PhD in sociology from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo is pending. Fields holds an LL.M in criminal law from SUNY at Buffalo School of Law, a juris doctor from SUNY at Buffalo School of Law and a BA in communication/world history from the University of Oklahoma.
 
Catherine Foster, PhD, an assistant professor of communication studies, has 30 years of experience in the communications field. She previously was an adjunct professor at Lewis University Graduate School of Management and an adjunct professor at the DeVry Institute of Technology. Foster holds a PhD in organization and management from Capella University, an MBA in marketing and organizational communications from Lewis University Graduate School of Management, an MS in communications and a BS in journalism, both from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. 
 
Patricia A. Johnson, CPA, is an assistant professor in the Department of Accounting.  She previously was as an adjunct professor of accounting at Canisius and currently maintains a small accounting practice.
 
Jonathan Lopez, assistant professor of mathematics and statistics, holds an MA in mathematics from the University of Rochester and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and statistics from Canisius College. Previously he was a mathematics instructor at the University of Rochester. 
 
Prior to Canisius, Assistant Professor of History Tara M. McCarthy, PhD, was a post-doctoral teaching fellow at the University of Rochester College Writing Program. She specializes in American history, industrial America, women’s history, social reform and immigration/ethnicity. McCarthy holds a PhD in history from the University of Rochester, an MA in history from Syracuse University and a BS in education from the University of Maine.
 
Corrine M. Morris, PhD is an assistant professor of graduate education. Prior to Canisius, she was assistant professor of special education and director of the literacy program at Roberts Wesleyan College. Morris also was assistant professor of special education at Medaille College. She taught both within the Buffalo Public School System and for agencies that serve children with disabilities. Morris holds a PhD and an MS in special education, both from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a BS in special education and elementary education from Daemen College. 
 
Eric J. Stenclik, PhD, an assistant professor of English, specializes in American literature and 20th century American poetry. He previously taught at the college as an adjunct professor of modern languages and academic development. Prior to Canisius, Stenclik served as a teaching assistant in the Department of English at the University of Toronto and as an adjunct English lecturer at Daemen College. He holds a PhD in English from the University of Toronto, an MA in English from Yale University and a BA in English from Columbia University.
 
Assistant Professor of Fine Arts Christine M. Walsh has served as an adjunct professor at colleges and universities throughout Western New York, most recently at Canisius College. She has taught courses in studio design, printmaking, drawing, color theory and 2- and 3-D design. Walsh obtained her MFA and BFA degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
