2005-2006 ArtsCanisius Season Underway
The 2005-2006 ArtsCanisius season has begun at the college. The first musical event, a Meet-the Faculty recital with Betsy Reeds on flute is Monday, September 19 at 2:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.
An Informally-Formal Chamber Concert, featuring Glenn Einschlag on bassoon, will be held on Tuesday, September 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. Tickets are $15 general admission and $7 for students. For more information, click here or contact the Fine Arts Office at Ext. 2542.
College Relations Open House
The college community is invited to an open house for the new home of the College Relations Division, 23 Agassiz Circle. The event is on Thursday, September 22 from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. 23 Agassiz is located on the corner of Humboldt Parkway and Parkside Avenue, and parking is available in the lot, on the street or across Parkside Avenue in Delaware Park.

Contemporary Writers Series Welcomes Kidder
| The 2005-2006 Contemporary Writers Series kicks off on Thursday, October 13 when Pulitzer Prize-winning author Tracy Kidder reads from his latest book at 8 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. His latest work, My Detachment, is a memoir of his year as an army officer in Vietnam. The evening will include a question-and-answer period, a book-signing and reception. U.S. Senator Paul S. Sarbanes (D-MD) will speak about the Sarbanes-Oxley Law, on Monday, October 3 at 4:00 p.m. in the Grupp Fireside Lounge.
The Canisius College Distinguished Business Leaders Lecture Series was created by Peter Canisius Distinguished University Professor Hon. John J. Mass of the Holy Spirit

Paul A. Young, PhD, 2005 Kenneth L. Koessler Distinguished Faculty recipient, leads the procession of faculty from Old Main to Christ the King Chapel for the Mass of the Holy Spirit on Thursday, September 1. The Mass commemorated the beginning of the academic year and was followed by a chicken barbeque in Palisano Pavilion sponsored by the Office of Campus Programming and Leadership Development.
