Independent Health Wellness Lectures
Independent Health will be on campus this fall to present a four-part series on Nutrition and the Heart. This series covers the information you need to select a heart-healthy diet. Topics include the standards for blood cholesterol levels, how your cholesterol levels can affect your health, types of dietary fats and the foods that will give you the nutrients you need to help prevent heart disease and stroke. The series will be presented in Regis Room South on the following dates and times:

October 3, 2007
Part II - “The Problem is Fat – The Info is on the Label”
October 10, 2007
Part III - “Saturated, Monounsaturated, Polyunsaturated, Hydrogenated and Trans-Fatty Acids”

Part IV - “The Good News: Fish, Fiber & Phytochemicals”
