Five to Receive Distinguished Alumni Award
Saturday, November 10
BUFFALO, NY – The Canisius College Alumni Association will present its Distinguished Alumni Award to five graduates of the college, during ceremonies on Saturday, November 10 in the college’s Montante Cultural Center. Cocktails begin at 6:00 p.m.; dinner is at 7:00 p.m. and will be followed by the formal awards presentation. This year’s recipients are:
Nelson D. Civello ’67, Oishei visiting professor of finance in the Department of Economics & Finance at Canisius College and retired president of Fixed Income Capital Markets Group, Dain Rauscher Inc., in Minneapolis, MN;
Norman R. Hitzges ’65, sportscaster for KTCK-AM 1310 at Susquehanna Radio Corporation in Dallas, TX;
Margaret W. Paroski ’76, MD, MMM, executive vice president and chief medical officer for Kaleida Health in Buffalo, NY;
Michael F. Scheuer ’74, CBS News terrorism consultant, adjunct professor of security studies at Georgetown University, and former Central Intelligence Agency officer in Washington, D.C.; and
Franklin J. Sciortino ’56, district director of the U.S. Small Business Administration in Buffalo, NY.
