“60-Second Talks” To Be Held On Current Events

Tuesday, November 17 at 7 p.m.

BUFFALO, NY -- Canisius College will host “60-second talks” during which panelists will present their views on various current events in a minute or less on Tuesday, November 17 at 7 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Panelists for the evening will be Scott A. Chadwick, PhD, vice president for academic affairs, Patricia B. Christian, PhD, associate professor of sociology/anthropology, Peter J. Galie, PhD, chair of political science and Tanya M. Loughead, PhD, assistant professor of philosophy. History major Justin J. Masucci ’11 will serve as moderator. Topics will include healthcare, energy independence, nuclear weapons, the war in Afghanistan, President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus plan, media bias and issues relevant to Canisius College. A question and answer session and reception will follow.
