Four Students Receive Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Scholarships

Scholarships recognize academically deserving Canisius student-athletes

BUFFALO, NY – Four Canisius College students received Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Sports Scholarships. Awarded each year, the scholarships recognize academically deserving Canisius student-athletes from Western New York and Southern Ontario.


This year’s recipients are (from left to right) Carly Quinn ’11, a health and physical education major and member of the women’s lacrosse team; Megan Smith ’10, an anthropology major and member of the women’s swim team; Matthew Moessinger ’13, an accounting major and member of the men’s swim team; and Justin Maderer ’12, a finance major and member of the men’s lacrosse team.

Buffalo Bills owner Ralph C. Wilson presented the Canisius students with their scholarships prior to the Buffalo Bills – Houston Texans game on Sunday, November 1 in Orchard Park.
