College Hosts French Cabaret Night

Gourmet buffet, quintet featured

BUFFALO, NY - A French Cabaret Night will be held at Canisius College on Friday, April 19 at 8:00 p.m. in west wing of the Peter Gust Economou Dining Hall, located in the Richard E. Winter ’42 Student Center (doors open at 7:30p.m.). Co-sponsored by the Canisius College Department of Modern Languages and the Alliance Française of Buffalo, the evening will feature music by Georgette Dionne Jebb, singer and French teacher at St. Bernadette’s in Orchard Park, accompanied by five musicians.

Tickets are $10.00 for students; $12.00 pre-sale for the general public; and $14.00 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased through Monday, April 15. A raffle drawing will take place during intermission. First prize is a week in Cannes, second prize is a seven-week Alliance French Conversation course and third prize is a family membership to the Albright-Knox Art Museum. Raffle tickets are $1.00 and may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling (716) 882-3899. You do not need to be present to win.
