WNY Writing Project Writers Festival
Karima Amin, Dr. Mick Cochrane among workshop presenters
BUFFALO, NY - The Western New York Writing Project will hold a Writers Festival at Canisius College on Saturday, April 20 from 8:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. on the second floor of the Richard E. Winter ’42 Student Center. The writing workshop encourages children grades 3 to 12 use their imaginations through creative writing and storytelling.
Karima Amin, local author, educator and full-time storyteller, will host the workshop “How Did It Come To Be” for students grades 3-7. Dr. Mick Cochrane, professor of English and Canisius College Writer-in-Residence, hosts “Put Some Trouble In It,” for students grades 8–12.
Parents and teachers may also sit-in on the workshops. The cost is $10.00 per person. Checks should be made to the Western New York Writing Project.
