Health and Human Performance Open House
Learn more about master’s level health program
BUFFALO, NY – The Canisius College Health and Human Performance Program will hold an open house for prospective students on Saturday, April 13 from 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon at the Health and Human Performance Center, located in Demerly Hall (2365 Main Street).
Information will be available on the Health and Human Performance degree, the first master’s level health program to be offered at Canisius College and the only program of its kind in Western New York. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet faculty and tour the Health and Human Performance Center.
Geared towards students and professionals in the allied health professions and instructed by internationally-renowned faculty, the program’s curriculum focuses on preparing students for new careers or for career advancement. The program also provides the necessary academic and research skills for those who plan to pursue doctoral studies.
The Health and Human Performance Program is housed in a new state-of-the-art Health and Human Performance Center located at the previous Streng Oldsmobile building on Main Street. The 6,000 square foot aesthetic facility was designed specifically to meet the needs of the new program. The center houses a rehabilitation area, a stress-test facility, multi-media-ready lecture and seminar rooms, a physician’s office, faculty offices, a data processing room, a biochemistry room, a shower room, and an anthropometric room with the newest technology for body composition assessment.
