J. Patrick Mizak, Ph.D., director of institutional research, manages state, federal and accrediting agency reporting; prepares data for fact books and guide books; conducts research in institutional assessment and prepares benchmark studies. Prior to coming to Canisius, Mizak was director of the Office of Institutional Research at Armstrong Atlantic State University. He has also held temporary full-time and adjunct faculty positions in economics at several southern universities.

Mizak holds a bachelor’s degree in history and international relations from Cornell University, a master’s degree in economics from Cleveland State University, a master’s degree in international affairs from Georgia Institute of Technology and a doctorate in higher education from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
