Connie Zimicki, EdM, RRT Adjunct Professor
Connie Zimicki began practicing Respiratory Care 1985 when she graduated with her AAS from SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. She started her career at Children's Hospital of Buffalo where she spent several years developing her skills. In the early 1990's she and her husband David began their family at which time Connie was fortunate to find work at several hospitals within the Buffalo area in a per diem capacity. As her children grew Connie found herself able to further her career. Home care suited her love for education as well as the hours necessary to raise a family as well as allowed her the ability to complete her bachelors degree in Community Education.
On September 11, 2001, Connie began her career at Erie Community College as an adjunct instructor in the Respiratory Care Program. While employed here she kept her skills up by continuing to work within the field of Respiratory Care at both the hospital and insurance carrier level. In 2009 she completed her Masters degree at State University of NY at Buffalo, and is currently the Director of Clinical Education for the Respiratory Care Program at Erie Community College. Connie resides in Western NY with her two children, is an avid equestrian and very active in 4H.
