Campus Ministry Intern
Sandwich Ministry and Burrito Project

In my time at Canisius, magis has become not “the pursuit of happiness,” but the “happiness of pursuit.” Magis is the reminder to keep doing the things I love everyday. It is the reminder to make the best of each day. It is the reminder to reach further into the world and continue to challenge myself to become more than I thought possible. It is the reminder that no matter the stress or problem, life goes on. It is being more for others.

My experience as a service intern in Campus Ministry has embodied all of the above. Working with students and serving the people of Buffalo is one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I feel so grateful to be able to help open students’ minds and hearts to being men and women for others because I so vividly remember starting out like them. Starting out with mandatory service learning, volunteering has grown into a passion of mine. I could not ask for a better job than coordinating the Sunday Sandwich Ministry and Burrito Project to fulfill that passion.
