Garry Ladd, DHSc Graduate Project Director for M.S. Community and School Health/Adjunct Professor
Garry Ladd, DHSc began his undergraduate studies at Oswego State University and completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Syracuse University. He holds graduate degrees in the areas of Exercise Science, Sports Management, and Health Science. Dr. Ladd completed his Doctor of Health Science degree at Nova Southeastern University with a concentration in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. He is professor of Health and Exercise Science at Southwestern Illinois College and is the Master of Science degree Program Project Director at Canisius College. He has several years of experience developing curriculum and teaching online courses.
His work experience includes serving in the US Navy and the Army Reserve (retired) in the medical field with the last five years of his career overseeing the operations of a reserve medical clinic. His experience in the health and exercise science field spans close to 30 years, with over 20 years teaching experience. In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. Ladd is actively involved in living history as a Civil War Surgeon and enjoys the benefits of regular exercise. He enjoys promoting healthy lifestyles and encourages individuals, families, and communities to take responsibility for their overall health and well-being.
