Geoffrey received his Bachelor and Masters of Music degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music where he studied with Bernard Adelstein, David Zauder and James Darling. Previously he was a student of James Stamp. Hardcastle joined the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in 2004 as second trumpet.  He has also been a member of the Cleveland Orchestra. As a chamber musician, he is a member of the Center City Brass Quintet and Proteus 7, traveling worldwide on tours and recording with Chandos and Dorian Records.
