Recent Research/Research Interests:

Dr. Oigara primary research focus on instructional technology integration and student-centered pedagogy in teacher education. His interests include integration of emerged and emerging tools of technologies into classroom instruction to enhance active learning. Dr. Oigara has published over twenty journal articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings in this area of research. Dr. Oigara is a co-editor of one book “Promoting Active Learning through the Flipped Classroom Model” that focuses on instructional technologies both in K-12 and in higher education. Dr. Oigara areas of teaching expertise include: Instructional Technologies, Cross-Cultural Diversity, and Teacher Education. Dr. Oigara is active at national and international conferences and serves on the editorial review board of prestigious research journals.  Dr. Oigara also co-leads a summer study abroad program to Tanzania, focuses on education, faith, culture and biodiversity conservation.
