Lon is a graduate of Indiana University and specializes in playing instruments of the low brass family (tenor trombones, bass trombone, euphonium, tuba and bass trumpet) in a variety of groups including the SEM new music ensemble with John Cage in New York and Europe, Chicago Opera Ballet Orchestra, the Brass Compendium Quintet in New York, Cathedral Brass and the Galliard Brass Quintet in Buffalo, West Side Story Company, European tour, Buffalo Brass Big Band, and with pit orchestras for Shea’s Performing Arts Center, Artpark and Studio Arena.
