Luanne Firestone Interim Director
Lu Firestone grew up in the snowy suburbs of Buffalo. She left to do her undergraduate work at Georgetown and spend some years as a Jesuit Volunteer on the Colville Reservation in Washington State before getting her Master of Arts degree in Theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. She returned to Buffalo’s West Side where she now lives with her husband, son, 3 cats, many fish and countless plants. If you meet Lu in your time at Canisius, she will probably invite you to live boldly and step into a transformative experience – by either traveling to some remote corner of the world on one of Campus Ministry’s International Service-Immersion Experiences or by committing after you graduate to a year of volunteer service with a marginalized community. So watch out!
