Marie Larcara, EdD Program Director - Education Technologies - Co-Director of the Western New York Writing Project
Marie Larcara’s professional career has encompassed middle and high school through the college graduate level. As a New York State certified English teacher, Marie was innovative in reading/writing workshop, portfolio assessment, integrating technology, action research, and interdisciplinary planning. Marie is a Director of Education Technologies and Emerging Media and is Co-Director of the Western New York Writing Project. At the college level, Marie has worked as an instructional designer, new teacher trainer, and an online pedagogical expert in online course design. She has taught college courses in English and education, including literacy and learning, integrating technology into the content areas, new literacies, and emerging media for content acquisition. Marie earned a master’s degree with a specialization in online teaching and learning and her doctorate is in teacher leadership.
