Philip Reed, PhD is a native of the Pittsburgh area. He graduated from Davidson College before spending a year in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Notre Dame where he wrote his dissertation on Hume’s moral philosophy. His scholarly interests are in ethics and moral psychology. He regularly teaches philosophy courses on bioethics, technology, and happiness and has taught several courses in the Honors Program. He is also the Faculty Advisor for the Ultimate Frisbee team.
