Roland is a member of the music faculty of Canisius College where he teaches organ, and the SUNY at Buffalo where he teaches organ, harpsichord and piano. Martin received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the State University College at Fredonia, New York. He is founder and director of Speculum Musicae: an ensemble for early music. Martin has toured Europe with trumpeter Weast Wade as a member of the Trumpet/Organ duo "Baroque Consort". As organist he has played recitals in the United States including the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., Canada, and Europe. In February 1986, Martin performed the New York premiere of the complete collection of the recently discovered "Neumeister Chorales" by J.S. Bach's. An active composer and conductor, he is the recipient of two "Meet the Composer" grants. Since 1992 he has been Director of Music for St. Joseph's University Church in Buffalo.
