Director of Creative Services

Andalyn Courtney was named director of creative services in 2007. She is responsible for management of the creative services team, which creates printed materials for college marketing, fund raising, recruitment and promotion.

Prior to Canisius, she was a creative supervisor at Eric Mower and Associates. Courtney has also served as an adjunct lecturer at Canisius College and Buffalo State College. She earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Buffalo State College in 2000.


 
Jennifer
Paterson ’95, MS

Associate Director of Creative Services

Jennifer Paterson has been a member of the creative services team since April 1999 when she joined Canisius as a graphic designer. In 2001, she was appointed assistant director of publications, and from 2003 to 2007 served as director of creative services. 

Paterson has more than 11 years of experience in graphic design and advertising and her design-work has earned a number of industry awards, including regional ADDYs and a Gold Award from Admissions Marketing Report for the 2004 -2005 Canisius College
viewbook.

A 1995 summa cum laude graduate of Canisius with a BA in communication studies and sociology/anthropology, Paterson
also earned her master's degree from Canisius in organizational communication and development in 2001. 

She has held several positions in the communications industry, including the Buffalo Niagara Convention and Visitors Bureau and the advertising agency Crowley Webb and Associates.

Paterson is a former board member of the Canisius College Alumni Association and resides in Wheatfield, NY with her husband, Bill, class of 1993, and daughter Katie, future class of 2027.


Rose Twardowski
Associate director of Creative Services


Rose Twardowski has been associate director of creative services at Canisius College for more than 20 years. During that time, Twardowski's work has earned numerous awards from such organizations as Art Directors/Communicators of Buffalo, Buffalo Club of Printing House Craftsman and International Gallery of Superb Printing.  Additionally, the college relations division at Canisius awarded Twardowski the George M. Martin Advancement Award, for her years of outstanding work and dedication.

Twardowski holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from Daemen College and served as an elected board member of Brainstorm, The Communicator’s Club of Buffalo, from 2001-2003.


Shaun Maciejewski
Graphic designer


Shaun Maciejewski joined the creative services team as a graphic designer in July 2005.  He came to Canisius from Quinlan and Co. where he served as production manager and designer.  He has also worked as art director for FB Portable Displays and in pre-press production at Merrill-Northwind. Maciejewski’s work on The Liz Tower Exhibition helped earn Creative Services a silver ADDY award from Brainstorm, the Communicator’s Club of Buffalo, in 2006.

Maciejewski holds a bachelor’s degree in communication design with a minor in art history from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  He also holds an associates degree in graphic design with high honors from Villa Maria College.
