Canisius College (Buffalo, NY), an American, Catholic, Jesuit, independent, co-educational institution of higher education, is seeking an experienced and effective new President. Rev. Vincent M. Cooke, S.J., announced in May 2009 that he will be retiring as President at the end of the 2009-2010 academic year.
Canisius College will be celebrating its 140th anniversary next year and is well positioned for the next chapter in its rich history. Some recent accomplishments include:
- Strong enrollment at the undergraduate level;
- More than $120,000,000 in 24 major capital projects under Fr. Cooke’s leadership;
- Plans underway for an interdisciplinary science center in a recently acquired 200,000 square foot building;

- An updated strategic plan for the College approved by the Board of Trustees in 2008.
