Take a Risk
As a child with a chalkboard, Betsy DelleBovi, PhD, played teacher. Today, as an associate professor of adolescent education, she still thinks it’s fun. DelleBovi may have liked any career that would have let her improve society and lead people in directions that suit them, but teaching is the only one she ever considered.
This is a professor who loves her job. Who lives to keep you engaged. Whose publications and presentations all focus on some facet of your skills and how you can be best prepared for your unique future.
She tells you to take risks in your education. Speak up in class. Think critically. Take in her lessons and say, “Yes, but…”
She says your education is the best investment you can make. It’s one of the few that you can never lose.
