GENERAL MISSION AND GOALS STATEMENT OF CANISIUS COLLEGE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
The Department of Public Safety is established to protect the educational environment of Canisius College, keeping the environment free from the threat of physical harm, property damage and disruptive activity. We are continuously striving to build and maintain a high level of cooperation between the entire campus community and the Department, attempting to keep a high level of cooperation between the Department and the community surrounding the campus, maintaining positive communication between the Department and other law enforcement agencies, and providing regulatory and other miscellaneous services to assist in the attainment of the goals of the College.
The primary services of the Department include the enforcement of Federal, State and Local statutes and Canisius College ordinances, and crime prevention and control. We also provide emergency services for the injured and ill, traffic and parking supervision, and provide fire prevention and safety services.
