To assist in monitoring and reporting significant criminal incidents that have occurred on campus or in close proximity to the campus, the city of Buffalo Police Department and Canisius College Department of Public Safety have entered into a formal memorandum or understanding to report violent felonies and missing resident students to the other agency.
In addition, Public Safety maintains a close working relationship with other local law enforcement agencies. Information and reports about significant incidents are routinely exchanged and joint investigations are often conducted. All of these agencies patrol the area near the campus and share common areas of responsibility.
