Dr. Murray serves as the Director of the Literacy Center for the School of Education and Human Services at Canisius College. Her responsibilities include developing and managing programs, supervising staff, selecting and ordering instructional materials, pursuing funding opportunities through grants and local collaborations, and building partnerships with community organizations and schools. She is also the Chair of the Graduate Education and Leadership Department and a faculty member of the Graduate Literacy Program where she teaches graduate courses.
Lisa Fischer serves as the Literacy Center Assistant and the Administrative Associate for the Graduate Education and Leadership Department, both part of the School of Education and Human Services at Canisius College. Her responsibilities include managing the Literacy Center, establishing and developing relationships with the community and throughout Western New York, processing applications, awarding scholarships, and scheduling clients. She is a qualified notary public in Erie County and has an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Erie Community College.
