regents ball

Nearly 600 guests attended the Forty-Second Annual Canisius College Board of Regents Scholarship Ball on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency in Buffalo.  Proceeds of almost $100,000 were raised to provide financial support to promising young students, who otherwise would not be able to take advantage of the quality education that Canisius provides.

At this year's Ball, the college's Board of Regents conferred the 2008 Regents Distinguished Citizen Award on Carl J. Montante '64, HON '04, Managing Director, Uniland Development Company, for his many contributions to the Western New York community.  The award presentation, a sumptuous meal, live music and a spectacular raffle made this an exceptional event.  Our theme was "Some Enchanted Evening"; guests arrived showing off decorative masquerade masks and danced throughout the night to live music by The Music Krew.
