regents ball

Next June, Rev. Vincent M. Cooke, S.J., President of Canisius College, will step down after 17 years of service that have seen the college soar to new heights.  One need only drive down Main Street to see the impact of Father Cooke's visionary leadership at Canisius.  The college has invested more than $142 million in building projects that have put Canisius and Buffalo on the map.

Now comes our opportunity to thank Father Cooke and bid him farewell.  On Saturday, May 8, 2010, the Canisius College Board of Regents will recognize Father Cooke with the Regents Distinguished Citizen Award at the college's Regents Scholarship Ball at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo.  This will be the only community tribute to Father Cooke hosted by the college.

The evening will feature a number of special tributes to Father Cooke, including the Distinguished Citizen Award.  In addition, guests will enjoy a gourmet meal, live entertainment by The Party Squad, and a spectacular array of raffle packages.  Valet parking will be available.

Father Cooke's impact on this community has been significant and this event is sure to sell out.  Your prompt action will ensure your presence at this exciting event.  All proceeds from the evening will be directed toward one of Father Cooke's major priorities - scholarship assistance for our students. To conveniently make your reservation on-line visit the Canisius College On-line Marketplace.

The evening's schedule:
6:00 p.m. ~ Cocktails
7:30 p.m. ~ Program
8:00 p.m. ~ Dinner
9:00-11:30 p.m. ~ announcement of raffle winners, live music & dancing
