The Forty-Third Annual Canisius College Board of Regents Scholarship Ball was held on May 9, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency in Buffalo. A record $116,000 was raised for the Board of Regents Scholarship Fund that provides financial aid to promising young students, who would otherwise not be able to take advantage of the quality education that Canisius provides.
At this year's Ball, the college's Board of Regents conferred the 2009 Regents Distinguished Citizen Award on Jerry Castiglia, for his many contributions to the Western New York Community. Our theme this year "A Celestial Gala," dazzled our many guests. The award presentation, a sumptuous meal, live entertainment by The Music Krew, and a glittering array of raffle packages made this an exceptional event.
