Canisius College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide degree and enrollment verifications. If you are an employer, employment agency or background screening firm, please contact the National Student Clearinghouse at:

The National Student Clearinghouse wed site provides verifications 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We no longer provide verifications by phone.
Canisius College Student Enrollment Certifications
Canisius College students can obtain their own enrollment certifications through the National Student Clearinghouse. These enrollment certifications can be used for health insurers or general proof of your Canisius College enrollment. Enrollment certifications through the National Student Clearinghouse can be requested beginning 30 days prior to the start of a semester and/or for past semester enrollment history.
If you need an enrollment certification early than 30 days before the start of the semester you will need to contact the Student Records Office to request an enrollment certification.
Students that do not have a social security number in the college database will not be reported to the Clearinghouse and can not use this service.
This service is available to our students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To request an enrollment certification, go to the Canisius College homepage www.canisius.edu.
- Select “Current students” option.
- Select “On-line registration/check your grades/view your 1098-T/Run your GriffAudit/Request transcript/Request enrollment certification” option.
- Login to the Secure Area using your Griffmail username and password. If you do not know your username or password, contact the ITS HelpDesk at 716-888-2299.
- Once you are logged in select the “Student Services” option.
- Select “Student Records” option.
- Select “Request transcript or Enrollment Verification” option.
- You will then be taken to the National Student Clearinghouse Student Self-Service site.
- View your enrollment information on file with the Clearinghouse.
- View student loan deferment notifications the Clearinghouse has provided to your lenders or guarantors.
- View proof(s) of enrollment that the Clearinghouse has provided.
- View specific information about your student loans.
