Please read the following closing procedures carefully. In order to get rooms/apartments ready in time for summer residents and conferences, strict adherence to these procedures will be followed.
* The deadline for the approval to stay is Friday, May 2, 2008. If you need to stay past May 9, 2008, please complete the Request to Stay Form found here. *
I. CLOSING - All college owned housing will close at 9am on Saturday, May 10th 2008.All residents must vacate their room or apartment within 24 hours of their last exam and turn in their keys by this time.
II. KEYS/INVENTORIES - Students are required to return their room/apartment key to the Office of Residence Life before their departure. Students who do not return their keys will automatically be charged $45.00 - $90.00 for a lock change. Your room/apartment will be inventoried by the Office of Residence Life. Any damage will be assessed to student accounts. If you do not turn in or did not complete our inventory sheet, you may be responsible for any and all damages.
III. GRADUATING SENIORS - Seniors are permitted to stay in their housing assignments during "Senior Week", but must submit a request to stay form to do so.ALL SENIORS MUST VACATE HOUSING BY 12:00 NOON on Sunday, MAY 18, 2008. A $50.00 FINE PER HOUR WILL BE ASSESSED FOR DELAYS.
IV. EXTENDED RESIDENCE LIFE OFFICE HOURS
Monday - Friday May 5-9
8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday May 10-11
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Monday - Friday May 12-16
8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday May 17
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Sunday May 18
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
V. SUMMER RESIDENTS - Summer school residents who will not be going home need to have registered with the Office of Residence Life before May 2, 2008. To be approved to stay students should meet one of the following requirements:
Graduating/Working Baccalaureate Commencement
Attending summer sessions
Working for a College Office (workstudy/internship etc.)

VI. DUMPSTERS - Dumpsters will be placed in the parking lots of Loring behind Bosch Hall, Main Humboldt, the Village Townhouses, and the Delavan Townhouses Lot. Please discard all garbage and unwanted items there.
VII. ************************WARNING******************** ALL ITEMS LEFT WILL BE DISCARDED Refrigerators and stoves must be clean. $100.00 fine will result for items not removed. Residence Life staff members will be checking all room/apartments beginning at 9:00 a.m. the day of close down. ****************************************************

It is the responsibility of every resident to make sure their apartment is clean.
The Office of Residence Life will provide cleaning supplies on a first come first serve basis. All supplies can be picked up in Residence Life starting April 18th.

Mops/brooms
Cleaner for bathrooms/kitchens
Sponges
It is Residence Life’s expectation that the following will be cleaned:
All kitchens
Empty and clean refrigerators
All bathroom toilets, showers, and tubs
All garbage should be discarded
All closets and dressers emptied
All bottles and cans should be discarded
Mop all floors
Basements and attics of houses should be cleaned
In the event that the above are not completed in a satisfactory manner fines will be assessed.
