Mission
The mission of the Intercultural Living Center (ILC) is to build a community that celebrates, explores and recognized cultural traditions and heritages from from intellectual, interpersonal and individual perspectives.

Goal
The goal of the ILC is to create an environment where American students and international students will enjoy experiencing new cultures.  In some cases, American residents may share a room or suite with an incoming/returning international student.  As a member of the intercultural residence you will participate in a variety of social and educational activities, which will enhance your overall Canisius experience and prepare you for the global marketplace.

Expectations of the ILC Residence

  • Participate in the Canisius' International Fest Activities, sponsored by the Office of International Student Programs.
  • Be open to new experiences.
  • Participate in the ILC social and educational activities.
  • Serve as a peer mentor to the international students.
  • Meet expectations indicated on the ILC Agreement.

ILC Features

  • Newly renovated building
  • 1, 2, or 3 person rooms
  • Three person rooms have a private bathroom with shower.
  • Internet access, cable TV and local phone service in every room at no additional cost.
  • Year-round storage space for each resident.
  • Full kitchen with refrigerators, stoves, microwaves and locked cupboards for each room.
  • 2 computer labs
  • Study Lounge

  • Coin-free laundry
