NEW ONLINE SELECTION (Click Here)

All full-time freshmen, sophomores,  juniors and accepted transfer students (with valid Canisius IDs) are eligible to apply for upper-class housing selection.

Deposits:  A non-refundable $200 deposit is required and must be paid online, by phone, or at the Office of Student Accounts prior to building a team and selecting rooms online.  If paying by check, please write “Housing Deposit” on the check.  Payments may also be made in installments as often as needed until $200 is reached.

Housing deposits are due by 4 p.m. on March 1, 2008!

TEAMS MUST BE COMPLETE BY 4 p.m. on March 1, 2008!

ROOM PREFERENCES  start on MARCH 5th and must be selected
by 4 p.m. on March 19, 2008!

All students must pay their deposit and build their team by the deadline to be eligible for the Housing Selection Process.  Students may not register for a room without the $200 deposit.

If you are unable to find roommates: Check out the Find a Roommate Bulletin Board outside the Office of Residence Life or post something on there yourself (after Jan. 14th)!
Or, email Jen Lenfant at housing@canisius.edu if you are unable to find a roommate by February 29th. Please remember that you must deposit, and create a team using the online system.  Keep in mind, you must be very specific as to what type of housing you desire (2-person, 3-person, etc.).

Please select as many housing options as possible. There are many factors that come into play when housing is designated. This will help you get placed in the living situation of your choice.

If you are not in a group, or your group is not complete as of the deadline, you will be added to a group that can then go through the room selection process.  If Residence Life is unable to place you with a group, you will be placed in available spaces when the housing selection process is over.

Important Information About Housing Selection Meetings--There will be no housing selection meetings this year, the entire process will take place online.

Students may not choose an apartment that accommodates more than the number of people in a group. For example, a group of four may not choose an apartment that accommodates five people.

After Housing Selection, if any member(s) of a group subsequently
leave(s) Canisius College or college housing, the rest of the group may lose the apartment.

If the occupancy of the house or apartment falls to 50 percent at any time after the housing selection process, Residence Life will likely request that your apartment be consolidated.

Once a choice is made in the housing selection process, you are not able to participate in the remaining housing selection session.  All selections are considered final at the time of selection.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

Parking info for Housing Selection

Below is a breakdown of what parking options are available to residents based on where they choose to live for the 2008-2009 academic year. While everyone would like to park right outside of their apartment, that is not always possible. Please spend a few minutes to familiarize yourself with ALL of the parking options you have, prior to selecting your housing assignment. Permits will be available on-line on a first come first serve basis beginning June 15, 2008. You can purchase a permit on-line from the Student Accounts web page. Note: If you leave college housing for any reason after purchasing a resident permit you will be required to turn the permit into Residence Life at time of check out. Failure to do so will result in a $50 fine.
