Junior Achievement of WNY is a non-profit organization that places student, business, and community volunteers in local classrooms to help children learn about the global economy, the value of free enterprise, and the importance of staying in school.  Time commitment is minimal, usually about 10 hours, and includes 5-8 45 minute sessions in a classroom that is conveniently located close to school, or work!  Students choose the grade level and subject matter in which they are comfortable. We provide training, lesson plans, and materials, so no experience is necessary!

Service Opportunity: This is an excellent Service-Learning opportunity. Business students can brush up on basic business concepts; Communication students can polish speaking skills; Education students will learn first-hand about classroom management. Students of all majors and studies can have fun making a difference for our local youth!
