Service opportunities: Domestic Violence Services: linkage with health, legal and emergency shelter assistance, anger management classes, education to prevent violence and promote healthy relationships.
Outreach and Education: to prevent substance abuse and the spread of
HIV/AIDS.
Breast Cancer Education and Screening: referrals to mammograms for low
income women, education and information on examinations and the
importance of detecting breast cancer.
Senior Services: on-site weekly lunches and recreation, informational
workshops. Senior Citizen center has daily activities from 7:30am to
4:30pm.
Youth Services: court advocacy/alternatives to incarceration, tutoring,
mentoring, employment preparation and job placement assistance, after
school program for 13-18 years of age, youth anger management classes.
Additional volunteer opportunities exist for marketing, accounting, and digital media arts students.

PEOPLE MOVER- Drive the golf cart for residents transport to therapy, doctors appointments, hair appointments and recreational activities within the facility. Daily 9:00- 3:30 Tues - Wed. evening 6:30-8:30
DELI WORKERS- Serve and prepare simple lunch foods
Mon.-Fri 9:30 -2:00 (shifts arranged to meet your schedule)
FIELD TRIP/SHOPPING ASSISTANTS- Assist staff with outings off facility grounds i.e. Malls, Picnics, Stores, Movies, Area attractions etc.
Flexible by schedule. Need to be able to push wheelchairs.
GIFT SHOP WORKERS- Assist customers with ideas and choices, gift wrap (if requested), run the cash register and account daily sales.
Presently Mon.- Fri- 9:00-4:00 (Evenings/Weekends available with training)
SENIOR COMPANION - Assist residents and staff with various needs of the living unit. i.e. walking residents who are capable of walking but for various reasons need supervision and conversation, transport various people to appointments and events, provide simple games and diversionary activities on the unit. Flexible weekdays, evenings, and weekends, times to volunteer availability.
ADOPT-A-GRANDPARENT/ FRIENDLY VISITOR- Many of our residents have few visitors, and we all need a friend to share things with like the old stories our families have already heard, and listen to their view of life. You will become an extended family member and treasured friend.
We suggest at least once a week visits or more. Ideal for a person/family who needs a flexible schedule and loves to talk.
ASSIST WITH ACTIVITIES PROGRAMS- Programs are held daily in various parts of the campus. The activities staff will be in charge of the program and guide you in your tasks. Duties could include transporting residents to and from the program site, assisting those who need help with tasks in games, arts and crafts, or serving refreshments etc. Every day is different. ACTIVITIES HELD DAILY AND MAY VARY IN TIME AND PLACE. EVENING ACTIVITIES ARE HELD TUES. - WED. - THURS. USUALLY 6:30-8:30.
