9th Annual Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament: This years event is being held on Monday, June 1st at Diamond Hawk Golf Course (255 Sonwil Dr. Cheektowaga, NY 716.651.0700). The price of the event is $120 and $100 for Canisius students. The price of admission includes a great lunch and dinner, 18 holes of golf with a cart and lots of great giveaways, competitions and prizes.

MSA on Facebook: The MSA program is now on Facebook and you can search it by under the moniker Canisius Master of Sport Administration. On the site we post all our events, and have discussions about hot issues. It is also a great way to link back with old friends and networks!
2008-2009 Highlights...
New Orleans 2009: 17 MSA students had the opportunity to travel to New Orleans for its annual spring trip. The trip took place over five days from April 4th to 9th. While experiencing the more cultural aspect of New Orleans the group got down to business and met the representitives from LSU, the Saints and the Hornets.
- Several MSA students travelled to New York City to meet with officials with the NFL, NBA and GENESCO Marketing. We hope to see several MSA students in top positions there soon!
- MSA gave back during the Annual Canisius Community Day. MSA students volunteered at Durham Memorial Zion Church. The students participated in peeling, cutting and washing potatoes, and uncanning various food items. MSA also collected canned food items for the Church during the annual MSA Christmas Party. We hope to continue our relationship in the future.
- The 8th Annual Bowl N' Blast was a huge success. The bowling was great and prizes excellent. In total the event raised just over $11,000 for Rosewell Park in Buffalo. Congrats to all who coordinated and participated.
FALL 2009: What MSA students are looking forward to this semester...
-MSA IS HEADED TO CHICAGO...15 Sport Administration students are headed to Chicago this November! This will be an excellent time for students to see what is beyond the great city of Buffalo. Meetings will be arranged with local Chicago colleges and professional sports teams. Check back in the next few weeks to see how the trip ends up for the MSA students!
-Several Community Days are in the works! If you are interested in arranging a day for MSA students to come and help out your organization please contact us at msainfo@canisius.edu.
